The basics of ordering from a small studio in Finland.

Who we are

Hilliwood is operated by Rushaniia Gubaidullina T:mi, a sole trader based in Finland. You can reach us through the contact form on this website.

Orders and payment

An order is confirmed when payment is completed through our payment provider, Stripe. Prices are in euros (EUR) and include Finnish VAT where applicable. Each listed piece exists only once, so it is reserved for you while you complete payment; if a piece sells or the reservation expires first, any payment is refunded in full.

14-day right of withdrawal

When you buy a ready-made piece online, you have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason. The period starts on the day you receive the goods. Notify us within those 14 days — the easiest way is the online withdrawal form linked in the footer — and send the goods back no later than 14 days after your notice. You pay the ordinary return postage, as we inform you here in advance. We refund the item price and our standard outbound delivery charge; if you chose a more expensive delivery option than our standard, the difference is not refunded. We may wait to refund until the goods have come back or you have shown evidence of posting them, and we refund to your original payment method within 14 days of your notice.

Custom-made pieces

Jewelry made to your personal specification or clearly personalised — including pieces made from your own cutlery — is exempt from the 14-day change-of-mind right by law, because the transformation is irreversible and made for you alone. Choosing one of the standard ring sizes offered for a ready-made ring does not make it custom-made. This exception never limits your statutory rights if a piece is faulty or not as described.

Faults and statutory rights

Your rights under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act for goods that are faulty or not as described apply separately from the withdrawal right and cannot be shortened. If something is wrong with a piece, contact us and we will repair, replace or refund as the law requires.

Materials

Vintage cutlery can be silver, silver-plated or a base-metal alloy. We describe the composition of each piece as accurately as its hallmarks allow and make no claims beyond them.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you always keep the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. If we cannot settle a disagreement together, please contact the Finnish Consumer Advisory Services (kkv.fi) first; after that, the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) can give a free recommendation.
