About

Crafted by hand. Carried by meaning.

A small studio in Finland, working with silver that already has a hundred years behind it.

Hands shaping a silver spoon into a ring at the Hilliwood workbench

Hilliwood began at a flea market table in southern Finland, in front of a box of mismatched silver that nobody wanted. Spoons with worn monograms, forks bent by decades of use, a knife with a maker's mark from a workshop that closed before the war.

We buy this cutlery from markets, estates and family drawers, and reshape it slowly — annealed over flame, formed on a mandrel, filed, sanded and polished by hand. Nothing is cast, nothing is mass produced, and nothing new is mined.

What comes off the bench is a piece that already carried other people's mornings. We simply move it from the table to the hand.

You may know Hilliwood from Vinted under the former seller name ruhilli.
