Spoon ring handcrafted from repurposed Alpakka cutlery. The original peony floral decoration forms a bold sculptural front, framed by flowing leaves and openwork cut-outs that reveal the aged surface beneath. The bright silver-toned metal carries deep patina in the recesses, with fine scratches and signs of wear from the original piece, giving the ring its individual character. Alpakka, also known as new silver, is a nickel-containing base-metal alloy and is not sterling silver. Each upcycled piece is individually made, so small traces of the original cutlery and hand-finishing are part of its character.
